Throughout its almost 50 years of history, AEMA has distinguished itself for its constant work for the economic and social development of the Marble Region. Among the great achievements, we highlight actions such as the Master Plan for the Sierra de Macael, early retirement for quarry workers, the use of subsidized diesel for quarry machinery and the creation of numerous infrastructures.
Currently, We are working out the constitution of Financial Guarantees for the Restoration of the Macael Quarries, as well as working on the promotion of the Macael Brand. The implementation of actions and trade missions, such as the Marble Ambassadors program, the International Stone Encounter and the Macael Awards, aim to position the brand as a leader in the stone and innovative surfaces market. Other major objectives for the development of our companies are training, CSR and innovation.
